![]() ![]() ![]() What is a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)?A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) measures and objectively quantifies an individual's ability to perform activities. In general, the purpose of FCE is to collect information about the functional limitations of a person with medical impairment. An FCE is typically used in conjuction with a physical demand analysis. The physical demand analysis takes a job, determines the essential tasks then outlines the physical demands of those tasks.
